Nue: Exploring Raw Expression

‘NUE’, presents a captivating body of Debra Winn’s artwork that delves into the realms of nudes and dancers through various artistic mediums. This diverse collection showcases her passion for monotypes, drypoints, etchings, and sculpture, ranging from intimate 20cm pieces to strikingly large 6ft monotypes.

Light 2022

Light celebrates over sixteen years of artwork inspired by life models and dance companies from New York to The Australian Ballet. Beautiful, powerful images of nudes evoking a raw sensitivity created both here and in New York will adorn the walls of the small gallery, while images of dancers’ leap across the walls of the large space at fortyfivedownstairs.

Dancing from the Dark, Looking for the Light

Dancing from the Dark, Looking for the Light, offers an exciting new series of monotypes, drypoints and etchings. Each artwork draws inspiration from in situ drawings and photographs made at rehearsals for The Australian Ballet’s productions of Murphy (the celebration of Graeme Murphy), Tim Harbour’s Filigree and Shadow, and Alice Topp’s award winning Aurum.

This evocative and exciting exhibition brings together fifty-six artworks showcasing the artist’s highly recognizable, powerful approach to monotypes and also a foray into the art of mezzotints.
